We're pleased to announce that Yuma version 1.0b9 is now available.

This release contains several small fixes for problems discovered in the course of documenting all the framework classes and methods. (More on that later!) That includes some missing methods in TextInputStream, and several incorrect return types in the MemoryBlock class.

We also made sure the Closeable interface (which was discussed here a while ago) was applied to all framework classes where it was applicable. That includes Database, RecordSet, TextOutputStream, TextInputStream, and BinaryStream.

Our behind-the-scenes documentation effort is nearly done, and we believe that we're done fiddling with the code — so unless you find a bug that crashes the server, this is it! Please exercise both the dev server and the enterprise server on your own hardware and projects, and let us know how it goes. (Don't forget about the Yuma Forum for discussion of any issues you may encounter.)

Assuming no major new problems are found, an official 1.0 release should be just around the corner!

Demo period has not been reset on this beta

Actually, it has — the trouble is that you didn't have this beta! We goofed and posted the b7 executables in the b9 download folders. This has now been fixed, so download it again, and you should have the correct executables.
